    P2P Product

    The P2P networking grandly launched by Shanghai ZLAN is a new technology for serial port networking. Different from the traditional TCP/IP connection style based on IP plus port, P2P technology proceeds communication on the basis of device ID. Users only need to input device ID so that can communicate with devices anywhere in the world, without concerning device whether inside or outside network, neither without doing port mapping and concerning IP change. P2P is a distributed network, different from the network based on central server forwarding, it sets up communication among devices, just need the P2P authentication server act as a bridge at the beginning of communication. This way greatly accelerates the communication efficiency between devices, reduce the server load.
    The P2P products provided by Shanghai ZLAN include Single Chip, Ethernet/Wifi/3G/4G networking media, can meet omnibearing networking style. Provide two connection mode based on PC: Virtual Serial Port and TCP/IP connections, as well developing software and demo for androids, ioses system. The permission of access to ID can be managed by authentication and user name mode.
    When implemented P2P remote access, it can realize multi-users to access one device at the same time, and each user access to the data without interruption from each other, just as realizing multi-host function, also can use P2P to implement Modbus gateway.

    ZLAN N2N

      Intranet NAT mapper (N2N) corresponds to ZLAN product model ZLAN7144N2, the product has N2N function as Ethernet port to Ethernet port. It can map intranet port to another intranet port, can realize intranet traversal, can easily realize outer net monitoring intranet TCP devices, without mapping on router and installing software on intranet through proxy forwarding way to realize accessing intranet device. ZLAN N2N products provide new path for Ethernet port PLC, Ethernet port touch panel remote monitoring and program download.

    Reasons why IoT need P2P Technology

    • IoT devices are generally the subordinate of router, if the phones needs to access IoT device there need setting up server, ZLAN P2P technology can let phones directly access intranet device, access “IoT Intelligent Gateway” shown as Figure 2.
    • The traditional accessing intranet device style via dynamic domain name plus router port mapping is complicated and sometimes cannot be achieved, P2P present a good solution for it.
    • Setting up server need extra cost including rental fees and maintenance fees, and require user develop a set of Client Server software on the server, the cost of system development and maintenance are big.

    • Support in user name and password way access device, realize the device ownership management to prevent access of unauthorized user.
    • Support virtual serial port when computer communicate, suitable for various industrial communication and remote data acquisition system. If user had used serial port software to communication there no need to modify the original software.
    • Support computer (ZLVircom), androids phones and ioses phones to connect device, provide phones lib development library.
    • One device can set up multi P2P connections, one P2P computer software can connect multi devices. One P2P connection can support setting up multi TCP connections.
    • Support P2P and traditional TCP Server sharing.
