Serial port to Ethernet port is a protocol converter. Include two kinds of products: serial device server and serial port to Ethernet port module. The former is a device, when the latter is often used as a kind of electronic components, this serial port to Ethernet port module is not only realize the function of serial port to Ethernet port, but also more definitely it is a networking solution. Since each MCU has serial port, if you can connect the Ethernet by using serial port, the networking will become very simple.
The serial port to Ethernet port product needs to be configured before use. Since it is a converter of serial port and Ethernet port, the main parameters are network parameters and serial port parameters. Its parameters can be configured by web method, Windows tool, and serial AT command method. Figure 2 and figure 3 show the parameter configuration interface of the web page method and the Windows tool method.

There are TCP Server (TCP Server mode), TCP Client (TCP Client mode), UDP mode, UDP multicast. When set to TCP Server, the external Ethernet port device needs to actively connect the serial port to Ethernet port products; When set to TCP Client, the serial port to Ethernet port products initiates the connection to the network server specified by the destination IP. For the selection of working mode, please refer to the TCP Work Mode Selection of Serial port to Ethernet Port。 |
